Russia: Retail beer sales drop by 1.8% in Q1

Russia’s retail beer sales in January-March dropped by 1.8% versus the same period in 2019 totalling 13.647 mln hl, National Consumers’ Rights Protection Union said on May 8.

Sales of beer cocktails decreased by 3.9% to 1.533 mln hl, the Union reported.

At the same time, according to Rosstat data, Russia’s first-quarter beer production increased by 2.8% as compared to Q1 2019.
